Events This WeeK

Busy week at work with meetings, seminars, phone calls, possible new opportunities. The weather on Tuesday was... unprecedented in the recorded history of Louisville with reports of some areas receiving 6 or more inches of rain in the space of an hour. My wife's car was the unfortunate victim of high water on campus at U of L where she works as a project manager, my daughter was stranded by water that nearly flooded her apartment. A high school classmate lost everything in his basement... water 8' deep, total loss. Here's hoping we all get through it and find some wisdom and humor in the process.

Preparations for Philmont visit the week after next continue... physical CHECK! Really looking forward to the Health, Safety and Risk training but the return to Philmont and New Mexico, WOW! Philmont is an amazing place. Mountains, the big sky (really) and the stars... the stars! During my first visit I never took the time to look UP until the third or fourth night, I must have spent an hour that night, looking up and pondering my smallness, I didn't know the heavens held so many shimmering diamonds! Needless to say my remaining time had some planned "sky time" and this one will too.
